Where are Intumescent Putty Pads Fitted?

Intumescent putty pads are fitted inside electrical socket boxes and once they are activated by heat the putty pads expand and create a seal preventing fire and smoke from escaping through otherwise fire-rated material.

Why are Intumescent Putty Pads Essential?
