Protecta FR Putty Pad is a high-performance, intumescent putty pad specifically shaped for use with double gang electrical sockets. When sockets are installed in dry lining partitions, the wall's fire and acoustic integrity is compromised. This putty pad provides a simple and effective solution, reinstating the performance of the wall for up to 2 hours.

Designed for the professional tradesperson, its non-setting, malleable formula and self-adhesive backing make installation incredibly quick and easy, with no tools required. The pad is simply moulded by hand around the back of the electrical box, sealing the aperture and preventing the passage of fire, smoke, and sound in both service life and a fire event. Because it never hardens, it allows for easy access to wiring for maintenance and can be re-used, offering a cost-effective solution with a working life of at least 50 years.
