Rockwool Fire Barrier EN Clamping Plate - 1m

The Rockwool Fire Barrier EN Clamping Plate is the retaining component for the Rockwool Flexible Fire Barrier EN system. Manufactured from heavy-duty galvanised steel, this strip sandwiches the stone wool barrier against the Rockwool Fire Barrier EN Angle Support or substrate to prevent sagging or detachment during a fire.

System Integration

Designed for use with the Fire Barrier EN Angle Support, the plate slides over the protruding metal tabs once the barrier is in place. The tabs are then hammered over to lock the system together. This mechanical fix creates a continuous seal at the head without the need for additional washers or screws. For stitching joints and overlaps, Moncaster Galvanised Steel Lacing Wire is also recommended.

Timber Sleeving

The Clamping Plate is also used for securing the barrier around timber structural elements. For sleeving applications—such as wrapping timber trusses or joists—the plate can be cut into sections and screwed directly through the barrier into the wood. This is a common requirement for loft conversions and timber-frame projects.
