Description

Protecta FR Acrylic is a professional-grade, fire-rated sealant essential for maintaining the integrity of fire compartments. It is designed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke through linear joints and openings around service penetrations in walls and floors. When exposed to heat above 180°C, the sealant activates its intumescent properties, expanding to form a durable char that seals the opening for up to 4 hours. It also provides excellent acoustic insulation, making it a versatile solution for a wide range of construction applications.

This sealant is straightforward to apply to most common construction surfaces without the need for priming, offering a smooth finish that is tack-free within an hour. Its formulation is suitable for sealing joints and service penetrations in drywalls, masonry, concrete, and cross-laminated timber structures.
