Protecta FR Intumescent Pipe Wrap 160mm

The Protecta FR Pipe Wrap provides a simple and effective method for firestopping 160mm diameter plastic pipe penetrations in walls and floors. This pre-sized wrap consists of a high-performance graphite-based intumescent strip encased in a durable sleeve. When exposed to the heat of a fire, the intumescent material rapidly expands, crushing the melting plastic pipe to form a solid char plug. This effectively seals the opening, preventing the passage of fire and hot smoke for up to 4 hours.

Designed for speed and reliability, this 160mm wrap is ready to use straight out of the box. Installation is straightforward: wrap it around the pipe, secure it with tape, and slide it into position within the wall or floor. To complete the fire-rated seal, the surrounding annular gap must be filled with either Protecta FR Board or EX Mortar.
