Read our blog to find out the differences between pipe collars and pipe wraps. Or, take a look at our range of pipe collars below and learn how to install a pipe collar.
Intumescent pipe collars work by crushing a pipe when exposed to heat. The intumescent material, which expands from the heat, creates a fire resistant seal by crushing the pipes and sealing off the hole. Without this seal fire and smoke can easily travel through the gaps created by the pipes, therefore spreading fire throughout a building and endangering lives.
An intumescent pipe collar helps reinstate fire integrity and can provide up to four hours of fire protection. They are simple to install and require no maintenance, making intumescent pipe collars a quick and easy fire protection solution.
