Lorient LAS8001si Rebated Drop Down Seal - 835mm

The Lorient LAS8001si is an automatic drop seal with a high efficiency mechanism which lifts the seal clear of the floor as soon as the door is opened by a few millimetres; resulting in lower door operating forces. It requires no power connection.

13mm maximum drop.

Tested for acoustic performance with BS EN ISO 10140-2: 2010
Meets the smoke leakage performance requirements of BS 9999 and is used for sealing the threshold of door assemblies against leakage of ambient temperature smoke, as defined in BS 476: Part 31.1: 1983
Suitable for use on timber fire doors for up to 60 minutes under conditions of BS 476: Pt.20/22: 1987 and BS EN 1634-1: 2014
Tested for reliability, the seal completed 1,000,000 cycles without failure

I understand these are predominantly for the use of fire doors but is there any reason why this couldn’t be used to refubish a timber front door on a house as a draught excluder?

There is no reason as to why this drop seal couldnt be used for this purpose, however on an external door these may not be suitable in relation to weather exposure.
