The Rockwool FirePro Pipe Collar (110mm) is a robust fire stopping solution engineered to reinstate the fire resistance of flexible walls, rigid walls, and concrete floors penetrated by standard 110mm plastic pipes. It provides a vital line of defence in maintaining compartmentation, preventing the spread of fire and smoke through service penetrations.
The unit utilises a high-performance graphite-based intumescent liner contained within a durable galvanised steel shell. Upon exposure to heat, this intumescent material expands with significant pressure and volume. This reaction rapidly crushes the softening plastic pipe (including PVC, PP, PE, and HDPE) to create a solid, fire-resistant char plug that completely seals the aperture. This mechanism ensures fire integrity and insulation for up to 4 hours (EI240), depending on the substrate and pipe type.
Designed for professional application, the collar is surface-mounted and features a hinged toggle-clip system. This allows for quick and easy retrofitting around existing pipework—such as soil and vent pipes—eliminating the need to cut or disconnect services. It is rigorously tested to BS EN 1366-3: 2021+A1:2024 and is suitable for use on plasterboard partitions, masonry walls, and concrete floors.
