Rockwool FirePro CB50 Ablative Coated Batts Installation Kit

The Rockwool FirePro CB50 Ablative Coated Batts Installation Kit combines a high-density stone wool batt (1200 x 600 x 50mm) with a 5L tub of water-based CB Coating to provide a robust, all-in-one solution for reinstating the fire resistance of compartment walls and floors.

Fitting fire batts around complex mechanical and electrical services inevitably requires cutting the material, which exposes the stone wool core and compromises the fire rating. This installation kit solves that compliance issue by providing the correctly specified ablative coating to reseal those cut edges immediately. By applying the included coating to any exposed mineral wool or damaged surfaces, you ensure the installation creates a smoke and fire-tight seal capable of achieving up to EI 120 (2 hours) fire resistance, protecting your workmanship from snagging lists.

Designed for professional contractors, the CB50 batt offers exceptional versatility and handling. It acts as a head-of-wall seal, a blank seal, or a face-fixed solution, and is extensively tested to EN 1366-3 for penetrations including PVC/PE/PP pipes, metallic pipes, and cable ladders. With airborne sound insulation of up to 59 dB (Rw) and a high-density 160kg/m³ core, this kit delivers the acoustic and fire performance required for high-traffic commercial and residential buildings.
