FIREFLY FB180 Ablative Fire Batt - 1200 x 600 x 50mm

FB180 Ablative Batt 50mm is tested and certified for use as part of a FIREFLY® flexible fire barrier systems.

It offers convenience of a batt without compromising the fire integrity of the overall system, maintaining the fire performance of the system it is used with.

Features

• Higher density 180kg/m3 provides high expansion and improved performance
• Mineral fibre ablative batt for use with FIREFLY® flexible barriers
• Single layer batt provides 60 minutes integrity and 30 minutes insulation
• Ideal for use in tight areas, restricted access and multiple penetrations
• Tested on timber and for use horizontally between roof trusses/joists
• Typical batt aesthetic with a white, profiled surface
• Suitable for vertical and horizontal use
• Supplied as 1 standard size batt

Application 

Ideally suited to work alongside flexible fire barriers in:

• Trapezoidal profile roofs
• Roof/floor platforms in concrete/metal
• Penetration details
• I-Beams and awkward shapes to present a straight edge to the barrier
• Friction fitted into tight spaces within eaves

Use with FIREFLY® Ablative Coating and FIREFLY® Intumescent Acrylic Sealant.

Testing

• Meets requirements of BS EN 1363-1:2020 & BS EN 1366-3:2021 Penetration Seals, tested as a system

Construction

• Layers of mineral wool are combined to create a 50mm thick board product, with an ablative coating factory-applied to both sides
• The board has a weight of 180kg/m3 with a rigidity that makes it suitable for friction fitting
