Description

When installing Royde & Tucker H107 Hi-Load hinges onto a fire-rated doorset, using the correct intumescent protection is not optional—it's essential for compliance. These genuine HP107 intumescent pads are the manufacturer's specified component to ensure the hinge, and therefore the entire doorset, performs as tested in a fire.

Each pad is precision die-cut to match the profile of the H107 hinge leaf and its screw holes, ensuring a perfect fit behind each blade of the hinge. On exposure to heat, the intumescent material expands, sealing the gap between the hinge, door, and frame. This creates a robust barrier that prevents the passage of fire and hot smoke.

Made from 1mm thick Interdens, a superior mono ammonium phosphate material held in a fibreglass carrier, these pads will not compress or shrink over time. This prevents the common issue of hinge-drop caused by malleable intumescents, ensuring the door remains stable and secure throughout its service life. Using non-specified or improperly cut pads can invalidate the hinge's fire certification.
