Intumescent paints protect the integrity of structural steel and interior wood surfaces in the event of a fire. The fire resistant coating expands in extreme temperatures to create a layer of char that thermally insulates the wall, floor or structure underneath, providing protection for 30-120 minutes depending on the coating technology.
We stock a wide range of thick and thin intumescent paints for steel, timber wood or broad wall areas, including Bollom intumescent basecoat and topcoats. Available in a matt or satin finish, and in a variety of sizes. All of our intumescent paints can be applied using brush, roller or spray either on-site or off-site.
The Flameguard Ultra is a Class 0 rated protective and decorative top coat for interior walls and trim, is easy to use like conventional paints and provides a high quality durable finish.
For steels works, the Brosteel Ultra 60 is a thin-film waterbourne intumescent coating designed to provide 30 and 60 minutes fire resistance on standard structural steel members in internal environments.
